Students are admitted to the library through the double doors on the second floor.

BOOK BAGS AND GYM BAGS ARE PROHIBITED IN THE LIBRARY. They may be left inside the library doors to prevent theft.

Students may come to the library from classes between classes, before school and after school. Library hours are 8:00 - 4:00.

No eating or drinking allowed in the library.

The library is a quiet place to read and study. Visiting is not permitted and chairs are not to be rearranged.

Students may check out library books for a period of two weeks. Each student presents his/her library card withh the book to be checked out to the desk clerk. A book may be renewed once by bringing the book back to the library and rechecking it.

Each freshman is given a library om'd which will be used for four years. Each student is responsible for any books checked out on his/her library card. If a card is lost or stolen, the student MUST report this to the library immediately. The student is responsible for any books checked out on his/her library card UNLESS the card is reportsd lost. The price of a duplicate card is $1.00.

Students are responsible for library books until they are placed in the Return Bin in the charging desk.

Books should be returned as soon as the student is finished with them. A fine of $.05 per day is charged for overdue books. The fine stops when the book is returned. Fines do not accumulate on weekends and holidays. Please return the book even though you are unable to pay the fine at the time the book is returned. There is a maximum fine of $5.00.

Students with one overdue book will not be allowed to check out more books until the overdue book is returned and fines are paid.

Reference books, magazines, newspapers, and vertical file materials are not circulated. They may be used only in the library.

Vertical file materials, SIRS, and magazines must be obtained at the charging desk. Appropriate forms are available on the READER'S GUIDE table.

The copy machine may be used by students. Copies are $.10 each. Change may be obtained at the charging desk. Ask for assistance the first time you use the copier. The copier is most satisfactory when used to copy typed material, etc. If you wish to copy pictures or materials with dark backgrounds, THE CHARGE WILL BE $.50 because this type of copying uses an excessive amount of developer.

Many computers are available for student use. Check with a library staff member if you wish to use one. The staff will assist you and provide the software you need. Hard copies are $.10 each. Computer disks may be purchased for $1.00. Word processing programs are available for student use.

Students may have materials laminated in the library. The cost is $.25 per sheet and materials to be laminated will need to be left with a librarian for this service.

Change is given only when purchasing an item, for the copy machine, or when paying a fine.

Limited school supplies are available for purchase at the charging desk.
